What are your thoughts on the Vulkan API?
DotA 2 reborn will use it in the future
Its really cool, a big step forward from OpenGL. That being said, DirectX 12 haves everything Vulkan promises to have and more.
one, and in my opinion the most important, reason is that not only developing for a specific target is easier than to do for a broad one, Microsoft pushes way more money into developing DirectX than chronos does for OpenGL/Vulkan
I'm not a fan of linux for every day use, its not there yet, and because of how the market is right now, it might never get to be there. That's why I would put all my chips in DirectX over OpenGL/Vulkan every time.

Android is basically an linux distro that's used by the public. (sure, it's a pathetic distro, but it's linux) _________________

yeah, thanks for pointing it out. I noticed that too, I just don't bother to fix it. I should keep it in mind tho, so that I don't make those mistakes that often.

hmm.. maybe useful for making an arcade machine that plays an android game.
Like Cytus or Deemo. I think I can get a 22" touch screen.
hopefully it will support hardware graphics acceleration ?

I would say yes, but only on the AMD and Intel GPUs with open source drivers since people making those seem very dedicated.
Just like everything else I have given my soul to windows and have to remain in the herd. Can't buy Apple stuff because it is expensive. Can't keep old windows stuff because of the malwares so have to update. _________________
