As an incentive to immigrate to the U. S. legally, the US government offers business loans that are without interest for the first seven years. Gas stations are an easy target in this program because of the ability to make enough profit to pay off the loan before the interest kicks in.
The best person to answer your questions would be one of them. I have come to know Indian owners of two stations where I live. Both are very nice, hard working, polite people. They joke and have fun with their customers just as any American owner I've known has.
Personally, I think the interest free loan is a bunch if crap. They are just trying to live the American dream by grabbing what's out there. Unfortunately, OUR government has created an uneven playing field for the home team.

Phooey. It's propaganda, just like in any other country. My people have fought in every US war and I was a boy scout, but I readily recognize that our government hasn't always benefited all its citizens equally. All you have to do is look at a dollar (In God We Trust) or listen to the Pledge of Allegiance (one nation, under God - which, by the way isn't the original wording) to see a bias towards monotheistic principles. Likewise, you don't have to look very far or hard to find hate groups that proclaim to be patriotic.
