What tools/Languages/Etc are you using for your game?

It's an top down like dragon quest 9, but has random battles.

you might want to optimize it... I'm not sure unity will be able to handle that many polys

I tested unity almost 2 years ago and it suffered with a 600 poly model

He's a statue monster. It's a pose meant to exaggerate size and scare of any intruders. Also, his fight is pose based on that, so he changes poses to get different stats and attacks to confuse the player
