| They should define better. This is the first consumer desktop 8-core. Both AMD and Intel have been making 8 and 12 core server processors for a while.

What. | Dumbasses think 6 hyperthreaded cores means 12 cores.
Either that or they're referring to having a dual 6-core Xeon, but that still obviously wouldn't be a single CPU.

| since you elpacco and aviar both know about computers a lot moar than me, is there an advantage to say having like you said, for this example ill use 8, 2 quad cores together vs 1 8core, is there like any delay or disadvantages to having 2 together vs one entire one?

It's his IBM work laptop.
