It was alright. I expected better though.
People at school were all like "THAT MOVIE WAS WAY BETTER THAN DISTRICT NINE!!!"
Got my hopes up, severely disappointed.

Never get your hopes up with a movie that has explosions.

Never get your hopes up with a movie that has explosions. | Why? District 9 was amazing, surpassed my hopes and expectations. A lot of (action) movies have met my expectations actually.

I really would have enjoyed District 9 more if it wouldn't be filmed as a documentary. I didn't even finish the movie because of that.

I don't understand how that's a bad thing though. You're probably one of those people that bitch about the camera shaking in Cloverfield.

And not to forget I'm also a graphicswhore when it comes to games. (Besides Minecraft)

I enjoyed the documentary style. It made it seem more...real? It was used nicely to bring you into the story, then it shifted to a more cinematic style to drive the movie home.
Can you tell I like district 9?
