Yes.

Clientsided, is all the data stored at your pc <- This is what you can play around with, and actually change.

Serversided, is the data which is stored on the game-server <- This is what you usually can't touch, only make a visual change.

Ummm kind of right. Serversided refers to those variables which can't be altered clientside. Though there are clientside representations of them. Think of gold/money in most online games. You can see what money you have, but if you try to alter it, you won't have any luck as the server handles it. Though this 'visual' amount is technically clientsided itself.

Clientsided stuff is anything you have complete control over from the client. Speed and jump modifications for example can be achieved in a lot of online games. Singleplayer games can be thought of as clientsided to in their entirety, as DB already stated.

This stuff isn't 'wierd', it's just how it all works. It's not hard to understand. Bringing 'stuff' serverside is a great way to remove cheating, without employing any additional anti-cheat systems. Think of decent, well-developed games such as Guild Wars. Any hacks for that at present that actually do anything useful? Nope. Why? Because their servers always track everything relating to the player (position, speed, health, skills, etc). And they don't utilize any anti-cheat; it would be redundant.

Yeah, but it's an extreme minority out of a massive majority. And even then it's only for certain variables. They tend to get patched quickly in a popular game. It would be misleading to state otherwise, hence DB's statement. Don't confuse people; they're clearly confused enough when they post.
