Everyone says don't buy alienware, you're just basically buying their name... But i'm not sure... i jsut can't find anything that beats this

Why should we have to prove it? It's a well known fact. Put together the same exact parts on newegg and it'll probably be $3-4k cheaper.

Core i7 EE 975 3.33GHz - $1040 - A Core i7 920 would perform similarly
XFX GTX 295 - $530 x 2 = $1060 - Uber-high-end cards always have jacked up prices
G.Skill 6GB DDR3-1600 - $95 x 2 = $190 - 12GB is obviously overkill, a 4GB dual channel kit or 6GB triple channel kit would be more than enough
Asus P6T LGA1366 - $250
WD 1TB + Intel X25-M SSD 80GB (MLC) - $390 - SSD for fast boot-up/load times (beyond WD Velociraptor), fast 7200RPM WD 1TB for any storage you need
LG Dual-layer DVD burner + Lite-On Blu-Ray reader - $113 - Lightscribe technology does not have a very good niche
Killer Xeno Pro - $130 - What a ridiculous waste of $130
HD audio is integrated into the motherboard. I would have expected an add-on card with AlienWare though.
Asus 24" HD monitor (2ms) - $230 - Anything beyond a 24" monitor will result in ridiculous price jumps, and lower performance

$4405 total for the most expensive version, ~$1400 for a well-performing system (i7 920, HD 4890, 4GB DDR3, WD 1TB, DVD burner, removed: Killer Xeno, UPS, expensive sound system, cables, router, external HDD, SSD, BD-reader).

Double GTX 295 is complitly useless.
Quad SLI have horrible preformance, its alot smarter to take 2x GTX 285.

i7 920 clocks about the same as the 965 one so that one is also useless.
6GB ram is enought for all "normal" users that doesn't render all day long.

Monstercable is just bullshit.

Also alot there is just shit and waste of money but I don't wanna waste
my time on saying all.

So a good tip is, never spend more then 1,5k-2k USD on a computer its just waste of money.
