Yes.
Not sure if it matters for compatibility, but wouldn't you want a 16MB cache HDD?

Yes, but I already have a master hard drive, so that won't matter that much will it?

yeah i dont know if i have HD or not. at abc.com you can watch every episode of Lost for free in HD, and they have this little bar that shows how good of quality it is playing now based on your computer's performance at the moment and then instead of a bar at the end it just says HD and if your computer can play HD it is filled in. that is the longest sentence i have ever written.

HDD means HarD Drive Elpacco... he said HDD not HD...

READ THE MOTHER FUCKING TOPIC.

So then why did you just spam?

Also, yeah i think it will fit... It has two satas and 1 IDE so you have a 100 percent chance of it working! unless its DOA

Yeah, what you basically look for is the connection. Esata or IDE

Ok I knew about the SATA, I just needed to know if hard drives don't need different wattage or something. Ok thanks.

Yes, but that hard drive gives a horrible price/storage ratio.

How so? $40~ for 160GB sounds like a really good deal to me! Western Digital too. Very Happy

500GB with 16MB cache for $80 with free shipping.

But if you aren't going to use all the space (ever), then you can stick with a smaller drive and save a few bucks.

I don't need THAT much room, but I have a question, with the hard drive I am going to get, do I need to purchase the cable separately?

Yes, you will need additional cables (4-pin molex power and SATA cables).

If you made your own computer, the motherboard should have the SATA cables, and the power supply should come with molex cables. If you don't have any, you can order them for about $1-$5 each.

Cables come from the motherboard if you bought one. They aren't that expensive anyways though.
