Should I get C++ for dummies, they assume I know nothing and it's cheaper than most, or an e-book? And Dummies book uses dev C++ but I read it's mostly for other OSes than windows.

No need to buy books for programming. You can find everything you need and want to learn for free on the internet. (Not warez, actual legit legal material.)

I don't want to learn from the internet because the computer I'm gonna learn on doesn't have internet at the moment.

I have a copy of C++ for Dummies on my computer. It is fine, mainly because if I come up with errors in VC++ I usually know how to fix them. I already read Learn C++ in 21 days though

learning basic C++ from a book is utterly wasting, you can get most information off the internet, if you really wanna buy books related to programming, try Greg Hoglund's books, they are very very useful, especially Exploiting Online Games in gaming cases.

Why not just print out an e-book in that case?

Go to your library then if you don't have access to the internet at home. Or use free time in school to read up and print things out as needed. I very highly doubt the teachers in your school will get mad for you attempting to learn a serious subject during your free time.

It's not that kind of school. Every time the computer is restarted it erases all info that you put on the that computer. And I can't install a fucking complier.

I prefer books over the internet, for some reasons:
* It doesn't burn your eyes (Moniter outputs radiation)
* They teach you from 0%, the internet will teach you how to make 2 programs and then they leave you in the middle of the desert, and somewhat statements and other stuff, they quiz you and don't give you assignments.
* The book have a good smell (Optional)
* The book is portable, you can take a bath while reading, you can take it to the restroom and shit while reading, you can take it to school, you can brush your teeth while reading (Optional, will disturb you)
* It is very comfortable sometimes
* It doesn't kill brain cells...
* It will like you..
* You will feel tiny orgasm (lol jk)

Last I checked, people don't use microwaves for monitors.. The radiation level output from a monitor is extremely low and unless you have your eye touching the screen, you will not be exposed to it almost at all your entire life. You have more of a chance of straining your eyes reading a book then you do a computer screen.

Thats why people that copy and paste code don't learn. You expect to just copy paste the code from the given website and learn it just from that. If you use the site like a book, read, and actually follow it and type things out yourself, you learn faster and understand more. There are plenty of sites that cover those 'in between' things that you think are not there. Just because one site doesn't have it doesn't mean the rest of the internet doesn't.

You can do all that with a laptop, PDA, or other types of hand-held computers.

I have not seen a lot of people use PDA for such thing, and for laptop, it will not be comfortable to lay it on your knees while taking a shit, heavy and when the shit drops it might flow some water on the laptop (ew..)

I bought it at Barnes n Nobles for like $10. .__.,
Do you really need to find a warez for it?
Anyways, if you're curious on the contents, here's the ToC:
| Code: |
Why Games?
Game Hacking 101
Money
Enter the Lawyers
Infested with Bugs
Hacking Game Clients
Building a Bot
Reversing

I've actually learned a good deal from this, but it's mostly just WoW shit.
