My sincerest apoligies for asking a noob question; however, I am stuck on this step and eager to figure it out. If anyone could offer me any help, I would greatly appreciate it. My issues are with figuring out the multilevel pointers, steps 1 - 7 were no problem. Thanks!

There is a tutorial on doing step 8 the long way.
I suggest reading it.

Thank you for the reply. I might just be retarded, but I did not find the step 8 tutorial anywhere. Could you kindly point me in the right direction? (Maybe I didn't use search right or something.)

Everyone... my apologies for asking a n00b question too... (I think mine is worse than waffle's). Shocked

actually I really dont understand what is pointer... what is offset... what they do... I passed step 1 - 7 all by myself, but i dont really understand what is pointer anyway. I've tried to read and repeat step 6 all over and over again... I can pass step 6 easily by find pointer that change the value, but I dont really understand what pointer means. Right now... step 8 make knocks me out with multilevel pointers and offsets...

I know this is a very basic question, but honestly, I dont understand them at all. If someone can help me, please tell me about understanding pointers... what they do... how they works...

It is much better if u can post a screenshot, pics or anything that can show how these pointers works normally before CE does anything to it.
Or at least please direct me to a source that I can read about pointers, offsets, etc to understand their definiton and how they works.

Ah yes.. of course please teach me about manipulate these pointers too. In step 6 we learned how to find a pointer, but tutorial doesn't teach us to manipulate it... I wish I can manipulate a pointer so I can write down the desired values I want.

If u want to manipulate what is written in A, it means u must find pointer C first, then manipulate C. Is that right ?
And step 8 teach us about how to trace it and manipulate it. Is that right ?
