I've got a .CT file from another person whos been able to find a working pointer chain to a certain address that holds information about zooming in a game. The pointer chain is valid:
This points at 17C47F99B50, when I pointer scan for that address (17C47F99B50) I'd expect to also find "Game.exe" + 01BB76F8 + offsets, or perhaps a similar variant, but I am only seeing "THREADSTACK" and other dlls the game uses, but no "Game.exe" which I expected. Does someone know why this happens?
I tried to increase number of threads, maximum offset value, max level. I also tried to zoom in and out while scanning for pointers (not sure if it would ever help lol).
We are using the same game patch, only thing I can think of is that we are using a different version of CE, or that the person found the address another way than pointer scanning?
How would you guys go about it if you cannot find a pointer chain from a "valid" base game address?
Best regards!

EDIT: I do not know the person who shared the .CT file, but I've tried to contact the person, but they did not answer. _________________

uncheck the 'stop traversing a path when a static has been found' or disable threadstack as allowed (threadstack is valid to use thougj) _________________
