I'm sorta on a budget, and I have a really old/crappy computer.
Let's just say I have 428mb of RAM. Not even 1GB --which is mediocre.
Suggestions?

| with 300$ I'm pretty sure you can get a low dual core, 1 GB ram and 256 video

I made mine like a year ago for 500$
2.5 core 2 duo, 512 Video a motherboard with Hi def sound card integrated
and 2 GB ram kingstone HyperX
and its peru so things were more expensive than what you can get in USA

I'm sure you can get at least 1 GB of RAM. Plus, RAM is very important to me, so I'll be needing a bit of that.
Correct me if I'm wrong though but RAM lowers the amount of lag on a computer?

kind of
the RAM is like your cache
stores data temporally close to your processor so it can take it quicker instead of calling it directly from the hard disk

| Oh and I forgot the DVD/CD burner and floppy, but I'm sure you can use the ones from your old computer.
