An MMO RPG in VB6? Are you sure...?
And code injection can be done by using CreateRemoteThread bet there's plenty of guides on injection on the Cheat Engine forums...

(and harder)
Yea C++ would be better since it does not depend on runtime files (DX SDK only for DX programming) unlike VB6...
But it's possible...

Only played a bit with it in Vista also played around with the DX form handling and it wasn't that special really...
Moved back to XP because of hacking purposes lol and haven't looked at it every since.

The engine he is referring to is a basic 2D side scroll/zone style game. Nothing major.

Wrong in a way. Depending on how the program is compiled and linked to the runtime, if it is dynamically linked, it will require the user to have the given version of the C runtime on their system.
Same goes with any other libraries the program is compiled against. If it is not statically linked to the program, it will require the user to have that dll on their system.
