RAM is RAM, as long as the standard is the same it will work.
I still feel that you are spending unnecessary cash. Such high memory clocks will have little to no impact in real world performance (outside of benchmarks), and with today's prices you might as well grab two 4GB sticks, as it taxes the memory controller less that way (less lanes to run). Z68 doesn't really differ that much from P67 and the motherboard you chose doesn't even have Intel Smart Response (sic), one of the major feature that make Z68 stand out.
But if you insist...

@Saifallofjmr Like I said before, I don't have a budget with this, it's whatever I want, and I already commented on my gfx, I know it's not the best but I want to buy everything else first.
@Nevergreen. Do you happen to know when, because I need to get it all upgraded before Skyrim.
@ArcaneKnite Go raid your epic dragonz. |

Yes it can. And at very good framerates, too. I know first hand.

1920x1080 with 16xAF and 32 MSAA?

Does Intel Smart Response really worth it? if you could pick me out one that you like and I'll look at it.
Ok @Saifallofjmr, you like Battlefield, shut up about it.

I don't know about 1080p, but at 1680x1050 and 8xAA + 16x AF, you can get 55 average, doesn't really ever go below 45. This is paired with an overclocked i5 760. And yes, I count that as maxed out, because these ridiculous AA settings are overkill, and this is a $120 card we're talking about.
@Above, get with the times already. Get a 570 or a 6970, I'm pretty sure both those cards beat the 480 in most scenarios (I'm okay if someone wants to correct me on that).
Also, timings nor speed actually make as much of a difference as you might think. In fact, the gains from overclocking ram clocks and "overclocking" the timings are usually negligible in games. I have tested different ram speeds and timings myself (from 7-11 and 1066 to 1866), and my gains in FPS from the slowest speeds to the highest speeds in several games ranged from 2-7 fps. Not very impressive. For this reason, I don't really recommend spending more money on ram that's faster or has better timings, I would just recommend getting as much ram as possible for your buck. Getting 8 gbs of ram will make much more difference than 2 ms latency. My recommendation: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428

nice catch, although i keep seeing they run pretty similar, except the 570 is better on power consumption.
Going to selected this now, any more suggestions is appreciated.

That card would probably last you 2 years, which isn't bad by all means for the normal consumer. The other alternative would be a 6970, which gives more VRAM than the 570 but having lower general performance (and price), although when gaming at 1920*1080 there really won't be much of a difference regarding the memory. Also, the 570 is simply a higher clocked 480 w/ other minor improvements such as power consumption and memory controllers. Personally, I'd go for whichever offers the best price/performance ratio and according to my roadmap for future upgrades.
For your RAM, I'd really advice you to get a set of 4GB sticks instead, as this will allow future upgrades (if needed). ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445 )
Just out of curiosity, what model is your PSU? I usually won't doubt a 800w PSU, but in this case it would be better safe than sorry.

The RAM you set was out of stock.
I'll stick with the 570, its only 30 bux more than the 480.
I'm not sure of the model of my PSU, but its a modular 700w.

6950 -> 6970 doesn't work any more.
@OP since you are getting the Z68 board are you getting a SSD as well? If not you're really denying that board from its full potential.

No I decided to go with the P67 Haswell was talking about, i don't need my Windows to boot in 3 seconds.
@Saucy I like nividia cards.
