There are tons of debuggers out there on the net, I don't think theres any that can compare to Olly though. (IDA is a debugger as well, but it's more main focus is disassembling. I'd rather use Olly over IDA for debugging.)

You really wont find that much of a secure method to keep your program safe in VB. Reason for this is theres basically no way of avoiding a compare line using "If blah = blah Then" which will always yield the same result in a debugger.

Packing a file is always a nice thing to do to help reduce the size, compress resources, etc. but you should never look at it for protection. I don't think theres a packer out there that has yet to be unpacked. And new ones are unpacked within hours of release.

If anything create things that you need to be protected in a C/C++ dll and do your protection checks inside the library instead of VB6. While there will be ways around the protections you use in the dll, it will be more secure then it is in VB itself.
