So, humans have a very small affect on climate change, seeing as less than 1% of Carbon Dioxide is from human activity (correct me if I'm wrong), how could we fix the issue? Would it be a matter of creating super trees to devour the extra and try our best to regulate it in a way that doesn't damage our oceanic conveyor belt? Or is CO2 not the big issue, but the amount of water vapor in the air the real issue; both are green house gases, but I'm not sure which is better at trapping in sunlight. If water vapor is the issue, I'd see that as odd, because the #1 source of this is the sun; but our star has slightly dimmed, and the flares have cooled.

It's like adding wool to a blanket, it's just getting thicker over time, humans accelerate that A LOT.
If you're looking at in on a year-to-year basis then sure we tacked on another 1% to the increase or whatever it is they say, but project that exponential addition into 100, 1000 years and everything's severely off.

This makes more sense. But still, why isn't water vapor a greater issue?
And Talix, I was asking for help, if you think I'm an idiot, explain why and answer my question or get out.

Water barely has an impact in comparison to carbon.
Think of a pool in the sun, the first foot or two of surface water will be warm and anything under that the heat wouldn't really reach.
If it were a pool of liquid carbon the heat would only go half an inch in or something.
I'm totally making up the amounts but it's just an illustration.

Nice try, Google can't talk to me.

I remember reading this in the newspaper a few years ago;
They discovered that if there is starting to get too much COČ in the air, plants could have a natural reaction to it and start growing a lot larger than they usually do, which could save the world. Or something.

fuck off. |
I said I wanted to discuss it. I'm not going on Google to find a forum with a current discussion, that's recent, and sign up, to do there what I can do here.

discuss it? for what reason? to learn something? you already know we have no more to offer than what the internet can offer. you just want to show the forum how deeply you think about solving the world's problems because you're so smart
fuck off |
No, I wanted to spark a discussion to talk to users about it, because you can offer an opinion as well I help. I can't solve them, but I want to know more and challenge what information I have.
