Cheat Engine

Hi, I am playing the game 'JFK Reloaded', and I want to try and change the time it takes to reload the gun, how could I go about doing that?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes speed hack will make you shoot and reload faster.
But that is controlled by the animation in the games cfg files.
If the scripting is available to alter you can increase it that way.

Well reload times are usually constants so cheatengine wont help with it. You can find the ammo function and from there find the gun firing function then find which call is the reload then assemble it to take less time.

the speed hack doesnt seem to be doing anything. Somebody has made a trainer which removes the reload sound and delay, and they said they made it with cheat engine, but I want to try and figure out how they have done it. Should I try timing the delay and searching for it with CE? I need some ideas to help.

Hmm... This is a bit tough...

There are two ways you can go about this:

1) Memory Scanning

2) Memory View

If you choose the first, then you could possibly do something like a Value Between search, if you know that the value of the reload time is between, say, 1 second and 2 seconds, or something.

If you choose the latter of the two, then all I have to say is good look. :shock:

oh, speedhack certainly works (try speed 10 and sleep 10 or sleep 20)
anyhow, it also makes the cars move faster

what you can do is:
unknown initial value scan
fire
scan for changed
scan for unchanged a few times, and fire again

it may be it's saving the time of the last shot

here's a table for jfk reloaded. freeze both for machinegun effect

I have tryed that, thankyou very much for the help, but after repeating it ten times i still have 40k results, how can I cut them down?

by now you should have only a few green addresses, and since jfk reloaded is such a simple game it uses static addresses (green) so easy to pick

just pick a few and freeze them all, and shoot, see if it does what you want, if not, pick some others, if it is, try to pinpoint it by unfreezing some
