Cheat Engine

Hey there everybody.
I am pretty new to this whole cheating/hacking thing
and I'd like to know if there's even
a way for games/programs to detect the "Chate Engine".

Is there for example a registry-entry that is always made in the same path on every computer that the cheat engine creates?

Or are there other ways to detect the cheat engine? o.Ô

Anywaya...to be honest...the whole reason for me to be here is cause I am programming a small one-man online project and dont want it to get hacked =(

Unfortunelty the game is for younger people...and...cause they are young they try to cheat quickly..and cheat engine seems to be simple enough for em to use =(

that was to show you that anything or any trace CE leaves behind can be changed or taken out until it is totally undetectable. Ways of doing this are very much documented and hundreds of people have made their own custom CEs (its open source).

only way to protect your game is to design it in a way that it cannot be easily hacked

sure, there is a registry that gets set when installed, but this doesn't mean ce is running at the same time. (e.g their little brother installed it once but forgot about it)
I have to go with appalsap and suggest writing it in a safe way. (Meaning, don't just believe what a client tells your server)

So the best way would be to make as many functions SERVER SIDED as possible ...thanks ^^

BlaX, don't be surprised i they lied to you...This community doesn't exactly like to stop hacking as much as they like to hack. Believe me, I've been here for a pretty long while.
