im on the third step of the tutorial thing where you do the unknown initial value thing what do i do cause when i go to chose its not there please help me and please dont flame me for i am new to cheat engine,

Ok, I;m new to Cheat Engine as well, but I've made it through this tutorial, so I am going to give you some pointers.

First- Click Scan Type down arrow and select Unknown Initial Value. This is because the number is unkown, just somewhere between 0-500 as the tutorial says. (PS. You can only find his once you have selected the New Search Button)

Then- You want to click First Scan and the program will search, coming up with results, you just do not see them in the Address list. It says above the word "address" exactly how many of the files it has taken into account.

Next- Go back to the Tutorial Window and hit "Hit Me". This will take a little of your life away. Yet, still, you dont know how much that is. So in "Scan Type" selection box, select decreased amount. This will compare from all of the files you got the value for last scan, and see which ones of them have decreased

After that- If you still have more than 1 address, repeat step "Next", (pressing "Hit Me" and then "Next Scan")

BUT- You may not reach a grand total of 1 address, I ended up with 4. Yet we can read our instructions and the tutorial says the value is between 1 and 500. That leaves only one possible address, which is now probably between 400-500 at the rate you found it. Mine was 449 when i found it.

Last- Add that address to the address list (the lower half of the Cheat Engine Window) by double clicking it (the one that is between 1-500). From there, double click the value area of that line, and change the value to 5000. Shazam, if you followed this, you are now at Step 4.

PS. If I am confusing at any part, let me know, so i can edit and correct it.

Also, don't use subject headers such as HELP or HELP ME...etc. Put your problem as your header.
