I'm trying get an all ammo hack for an FPS game and i run into this problem while trying to find the correct pointer. I have used pointers on various other hacks but this one is eluding me somehow. Can someone with some extensive knowledge please take a look at these screenshots and maybe give me an idea of what i'm missing.
This is what is writing to the address that i found that give one particular weapon unlimited ammo. Now by unlimited.. somehow the game recalculates the ammo value and converts it to the correct value. If i set the value to say 999 it will do a calculation and come up with a diff number but it never goes to 0. = unlimited ammo for that weapon only.
So i go to look at the memory region but i'm still new to all this and not 100% sure what i'm looking at. To me i see something with this going on starting 4 lines up. The line above that has "Imul" is a multiplying address of somesort. That i believe is doing the calculations. Now.. a different person has also found an address (different from mine) with a diff weapon but has the same writing address. I have searched in 4bytes , 8bytes for hex value but don't come up with anything. When i searched 2bytes i come up with over 600 addresses. I tried the green one but to no avail.
if it dont help by simply freezing it, then id guess u got a false memory location only for visual showing how many bullets u got or something...
try use "find out what writes to this adress" then change it to 999 (while using "try to prevent~!) and see what adress is changing it back _________________
