| if your problem is that the game doesn't allow you to play because you have flash7, I did something once which worked. with flash 7 installed, go to \windows\system32\macromed\flash and find a file named flash7a.ocx . Then , I used a hex editor to open it (Hex workshop) and searched as text string for "version". Everytime you see 7.0.68.0 near a version, change it to 9.0.0.0. save the file and it should now work.

If what he is saying is true,
I have not tried this out at all, But im familiar with hexing.
Then you are hexing the file incorrectly.
Replace the bytes with the same amount of bytes.
Example if you was replacing a name:
John <---
You can change this to any 4 characters you like, with no problems.
John to 1234
John to Greg
John to Woot
John to ??!!
==========================================
His steps are pretty good steps to follow.
