|
| Whenever I try to modify a value nothing happens. I was following the tutorial in pinball and could not get it to modify my score, same goes with swords and sandals 2 (full version). Any ideas? I figure it might be a firewall or antivirus issue but I disabled them both and still no go.

If it's a online game, thats to be expected.
If it's a singleplayer game you might be editing the wrong value. (E.g the display value instead of the real one, or the converted one from float to integer)

It is not an online game. I am following the instructions that I have seen online. I am hitting the correct value, but the thing is that CE is not working with Pinball either, a game that should be easy to edit according to the tutorial. Does Symantec Antivirus or Internet security interfere with CE? I cannot freeze values either.

| Can anyone think of anything that either Dell or symantec could be doing that would prevent the writing of values to memory?

Well I uninstalled Symentec Internet Security 2006 and the problem is still there. I am using a Dell optiplex 745 with a default Windows XP Sp2 load. It works in my Macbook Pro running Windows under bootcamp. This is weird.
