Occasionally when I launch Cheat Engine, I get an error message stating:

Code:
Symbolhandler was terminated. Not going to sync

at which point Cheat Engine is terminated entirely. What am I doing wrong?

I suppose I should supplement this post by saying I'm somewhat new to Linux (have only been using it for five months as of today). The way I launch Cheat Engine is I open a terminal and type:

Code:
sudo ./cheatengine-x86_64

Yes I did read the README. Yes I did download and install both dependencies.

Thank you for any help.

Heh, so I actually figured out what the problem was (as embarrasing as this is to admit).

So I just noticed that when lauching the Trial version, it explicitly instructs you to click a specific number. I just assumed I had to click the number 1 since it was always highlighted in blue upon launch. However, upon further testing, I found out I can get Cheat Engine to reliably crash if I select any number besides the one the program was asking for.

Oops, this was entirely my fault. I need to read instructions more carefully when dealing with programs I'm somewhat unfamiliar with. My overconfidence was my undoing.

With that being said, I tested exactly 50 launches paying attention to which number the splash screen wanted me to click. I've so far had ZERO crashed since selecting the correct number. But I thank you for your reply none-the-less. Very Happy
