So I compiled cheat engine myself to avoid anti-cheat and then compiled the DBK64.sys driver and signed it with my test certificate. But when I go to my new compiled engine Help -> About and press on "Your system supports DBVM" I get "You are missing the driver" error. And I made sure that the DBK64.sys file is in the same directory as the .exe of my compiled cheat engine

What could I have missed?

Missing driver or not responding ?

build the driver using the nosig build mode

and there's no driver64.dat file that says the name of the driver isnsomething else?

Okay, I realized that when I was compiling and undetectable cheat engine, I changed the driver name, so it's not supposed to be DBK64.sys anymore. I recompiled the driver with these new changes and was kinda able to get pass that initial issue.

Then of course I ran into the singing issue. So I restarted with Disable Driver Signature Enforcement and now when I try to run DBVM I get "Main GUI Thread: Unhandled exception: I don't know what you did, you didn't crash, but you also didn't load DBVM (Exception class Exception)"

So I literally have no clue of what's wrong here

At this point I kinda gave up and tried to use Code Filter instead. But I can't figure out how to use it in my case. Loading from disassembler crashes the game and branch mapping is so slow, that I couldn't see a single frame move in around 30 mins

sounds like ce was build in debug mode instead of release (vmx comands are turned off in debug)

Try ultimap2, you don't need dbvm for that either

				| I didn't know that ultimap2 didn't require dbvm, tho when I try to start it, I get "Failure starting windows based IPT session: 2". But when I close the message and try to record again, it actually looks like it starts it. But when I stop the recording, cheat engine completely freezes
