|

I am using CE now for years, but mostly only scanned just for values, no Code search, Codemap etc.
Recently i am playing a game that is in browser, seemingly unity, from what i can read off the javascript loading it.
Even tho i am sure it is secured on a serverside, i don't even get to even find values which never happened before. With the unknown value approach i should even find obfuscated values i think but not even that yields any returns.
I am not really frustrated by the fact that i cannot change anything but not even finding anything, which at least would give me a sense of accomplishment.
Someone cound give a hint or strategy, that may yield at least SOMETHING ?
I tried Memory view (which says No Access), and Code Filter (no results) yet, together with the standard value search with unknown value -> changed/unchanged
Everything else is pretty unknown to me yet. I learned programming and even could do C# programs but i'd not know where to start tho.
Some tips would be helpful. I can disclose the game via PM if nessecary.

You'll probably get no answer or one you're not looking for, online cheats aren't allowed. There are forums you can check that do stuff like that though if you're looking for that, also serverside you're usually SOL unless you're like a genius. Or know the developers of the game & are chill with them. The main ones at least. I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving one person an unlimted or insanely huge amount of resources for freee especially if they're raking in all the money.

I pointed out that i am already aware that all the values are serverside checked anyway, so actual cheating will not be possible.
But i wanna at least find the numbers in the game just for... the sake of it ?
Knowing that is is possible even tho it seems it isn't atm.
But ok, no tip then.

Independent of your online game;
Global example under CE usage details:
If you don't know how deep some values are, try to increase the scan buffer.
CE >> Settings (Big CE logo) >> Scan Settings >> Size of scanbuffer (KB):
Increase the default value: 2048 or 4096 or multiples.
Click the "OK" button in the Setting panel and return to scanning.
This option may slow down the scanning speed but allows you to keep the memory coverage large.
In GG this defaults to 512.
But I could find most of the values I was looking for in memory ranges 4096 and above.

I skimmed so maybe I read your post wrong, it sounded at first like you were trying to do a multiplayer game which unfortunately from others getting a bit wayyy too into that it caused some legal issues even with Dark Byte. But yeah server side you can't really do anything least not with a memory editor if you don't have access to the server. Just finding the values though I don't think is an issue. Try the method above see if it helps, there could be some protective measures going on you'd have to solve.
