Hello to all the community,
It's been more than ten years now that I've been using Cheat Engine and visiting this forum, which is a goldmine of information and support among users. Until today, I've always been able to find an answer to my problem, but now I'm out of ideas...
Let me explain.
In the game Forspoken, I'm trying to create pointers to various characteristics and the number of items in my inventory. Initially, I focused on the mana value, which is very easy to manipulate.
Here’s my step-by-step process:
1. I locate the address of my mana (41EC0AFBB3C in this example).
2. I use the function ("Find what accesses this address") and after modifying my mana, I identify an instruction that copies the memory.
3. On this instruction, I note the address suggested by Cheat Engine and its offset (41EC0AFBB00 and 3C).
4. I try to add this as a pointer in my variable list, and that’s where it gets stuck...
When I enter the identified address, Cheat Engine transforms my 11-digit address into a 15-digit one.
I don’t understand why, and upon validation, the associated value is ?? of course...
Does anyone have an idea of what's happening here?

More specifically, scan for the 8-byte value 41EC0AFBB00 (hex). All addresses that come up are valid pointers to that address.
Whether or not they stay that way is another matter. Try the pointer scanner if you haven't already:

I don't know where I'm going, but I'll figure it out when I get there.
