`cmp` is used for general purpose registers: rax, rcx, rdx, r8, r9...
Comparing floating point numbers is weird for a lot of reasons, even more so regarding packed data.
Use `ucomiss` to compare the first float in an xmm register against something else. The "something else" must be another xmm register or memory location- it can't be an immediate.
