Ok,
Cheat Engine.exe 384.400 26/10/2020 09:23 -a-- works on Windows XP.
MD5 2ce992abd25f22de9a9b737bc608cf89 *Cheat Engine.exe
Cheat Engine 7.2
You are up date. The latest version is 7.2 (Released 11/01/2020)
Therefore, the problem is in the installer. You could correct it if you have time.
By the way, Why are there 2 versions inside the .rar file ?

Windows Defender provides multiple blocks and hides them in complex headers. 
Here are some changes you can make;
Settings >> "Updates - Security" >> Windows Security >> Application and Browser Control >> History Based Protection >> Check Applications and Files >> (turn this off) OFF
Block Potentially Unwanted Applications >> OFF
Windows Security >> Virus and Threat Protection >> Real-Time Protection >> OFF
If still no success, add Cheat Engine install ".exe" file to Windows security;
Settings >> "Updates - Security" >> Windows Security >> Virus & Threat Protection >> Exclusions >> Add or remove exclusions >> Add an Exclusion >> Find and add Cheat Engine setup .exe to this list, then repeat try the setup.

I'm having an outright bitch of a time installing 7.3 on my new pc. When I run the installer it seems to work smoothly at first, but after I select the language to use for the installation and click "next", then the next tab says "thank you for installing Cheat Engine click finish to close"- No error codes, no crashes.
I've disabled reputation based protection, i've added the executable to the exploit protection list and granted it every possible exemption, i'm running it as an administrator, .... no luck. It just cannot get the installer to actually install the program. Any pointers? Advice? Maybe a guided tour of the museum of spoonfed solutions? This is kicking my ass :/

It doesn't install, not with every possible security turned off, not even in save mode.
win32/Offercore
win32/piriformbundler
app/cheat_engine_bundelinstall
These seem to be hardwired to be impossible to install

Sorry but is it able to change the install location of CE 7.3 on win10?
my old 6.83 one can be installed in a non-default place
I got the installation program at the official site, named 'CheatEngine73.exe', wonder if I download the wrong package

| I can't download version 7.4. It's say "secure connection failed". I don't use firewalls or something like it, how to fix this? ... any sugestion? .. ty in advance =)

Follow the first rule. Even if the firewall is turned off, its different branches still remain open.
