I'm trying to hack the mana in The Settlers 4 History Edition

With some steps in the search for "Excact Value..." I found an address where the value corresponds to the mana value in the game.
However, when I add the address to the lower section and change the value, it will always change back to the "real" value. So somehow this address also holds the value but seems not to be the origin.

I also tried to use "Value Increased" search method, whenever my mana increased, but it only led me to the same adress as above.

Any ideas where to go from here...?

Try learning code injection on the cheat engine tutorial (steps 5, 7, 9ish). Once you understand the concept from the tutorial you can apply it to your current problem.

For your current problem, ou will want to find the instruction that writes your fake value, scroll through the instructions above the one you find to see which instruction actually uses the real value, then use an auto assemble script to edit the second instruction itself to achieve your goal.
