malware bytes is giving me some bullshit about download link being sketchy but i bypass that no problem. i downloaded ce and went to install it and it originally said i didnt have the authority, which is weird since i'm the administrator. so i clicked run under administrator and windows itself said the file is a virus and deleted it. i literally did nothing and the program is gone. the last cheat engine i could get running on my computer was 67, after that i have never been able to install a newer version and its not my antivirus giving me problems otherwise it would pop up and not windows. how do i fix this issue cause the game i want to mod is new and i doubt 67 will work for it.

deleting the file sounds more like malwarebytes is still loaded in memory

anyhow, tell the browser to keep the download. You can usually do that in the download manager you can acceaa in the topright menu of the browser

alternatively, disable " reputation based protection", and if that fails allcyour anti virus options including defender

nah its not the browser. at first it was but i clicked continue to site in the browser and then when it loaded in the download started and it went into my computer. i clicked on the file in the folder, clicked run as administrator, and the file disappeared with windows saying it was a virus.
