I am trying to use pointer scanning for the first time and it keeps failing saying "OUT OF DISK SPACE! Clean up the disk or stop", I have like 5GB of free space, isn't this enough? or does it really take that much of disk space?

It can take 100s of GBs, it just depends on the game's size.

Try the CE tutorial, it goes over manually finding pointers. And I use code injection, so no need to scan for pointers.
