Cheat Engine

Hello, I have been trying to use CE speedhack inside Metro Exodus, just to speed up all the cutscenes. However, when I turn speedhack on, my cheat engine either freezes or crashes.
I was able to use Cheat Engine speedhack for both previous Metro games, 2033 and Last Light, with no problems. I hoped it would be the same for Exodus, since its the same game engine.
I was also able to run user-made cheat table for Exodus, it also worked fine. The only problem is with the speedhack.
I am still new to Cheat Engine, so please tell me if there are some settings I might change to prevent the freezing
