How do I cheat?

I recently downloaded Cheat Engine to hack PvZ, and it won't open. I tried directly from the folder, i dragged to my desktop and tried it there, I deleted Badlion Client, and nothing seems to work. On desktop, it just says
"Cheat Engine Launch Error" with a "c" underneath it, which I cannot find a fix for. Anything I can do?

after uninstalling badlion run the CE installer again. It should ask you if you wish to reboot. If you click no on that badlion won't be really gone

Don't have badlion, turned off any reputation based anything, Installed the app and tried running with Mcafee on and off and got the same result. Prior it didn't even let me install I but I downloaded the raw version and used winrar so got past that part.
