The number of Black corporate board members appointed within the Russell 3000 increased 239% in the five months since the death of George Floyd Jr., BoardProspects reported Friday.

The corporate board platform said that in the five months before Mr. Floyd's death in May, 38 Black board members were appointed. Since then, there have been 130 appointments of Black board members — 72 male and 58 female.

Five of the companies went from having no Black members to appointing two, while Crown Castle went from one to three appointments. Companies with no previous Black board members appointing one included Adobe, Expedia, Under Armour, Proctor & Gamble, Hilton, Chipotle, Intuit and Citrix.

So you're saying that all these companies suddenly decided to let the color of someones skin dictate if they should get appointed or not
