How does lua click Settings in Edit in the menu bar of cheat engine

if you meant click 'Edit' menu, then:

getMainForm().Settings1.doClick()


But why you are not posting your post on Lua scripting section?

by default CE Main Menu>Edit has only one item: Settings so this is better choice:

or alternate way:

getSettingsForm().show()


but if you have added your own item then you can do

Code:
MainForm.Edit3.doClick()
