So recently, I've been trying to mess around with a game's value. I did an exact value scan and got a value that instantly changed back to its original. Knowing the internal value was encrypted, I did a changed and unchanged search. There were about 30 results. When I change them either the game crashes or the value wasn't the one that I'm looking for. At this point, I gave up and decided to search for a cheat table online. My question is, how do people find these encrypted values?

What you did, then look at the code that accesses those values. The game will tell you a lot of information about values if you can understand assembly.
Sometimes other values in the same structure will give away information too.
