A friend directed me to try CE tonight, but for some reason I can't install either 7.0 or any of the older versions I've tried. I see in Task Manager that Anti Malware Service spikes up when I try running it either normally or as Administrator, so I turned off detection for the time being. That didn't work.

I added the setup file as an exclusion to Defender, that didn't work. I'm not running any other AV software, and no, I don't have whatever Badlion is installed. I'd REALLY like this to work so any help figuring this out would be really appreciated.

after disabling detection restart your system (don't shutdown and back on, acual restart) sometimes the kernelcomponent will keep blocking until it is unloaded

I disabled fast restart. I "allowed" the cheatengine installer in windows defender etc.

I have no other AV running.

Installer quits every time. I cannot complete the installation. I can't even click fast enough to get through to the bloatware at the end...

I was going to donate as this will be the second time I've used your software, but if I can't even get it installed anymore, I'm not going to do that obviously.

FYI previous computer (and an earlier version i guess of windows 10) allowed me to use CE without issues. I didn't have to do anything. That was some months ago. I built a new computer fresh ~2 months ago and I have almost no software other than steam, chrome, and forced windows "features" etc for gaming.

After the download is completed; Define the Cheat Engine (and CE32-CE64) program with the ".exe" extension to the Windows Firewall.
See; Windows Settings >> Update and Security >> Windows Security >> Application and Browser control >> Exploit Protection settings >> Program Settings >> Check if it is in this list.

So, ive waited a few minutes and now the installer works! so just wait 5-10 minutes it will work! Smile
