Cheat Engine

Hello everyone,

as title says...is it safe to use cheat engine with either solo or private coop sessions? I have zero interest in using it on Multiplayer, but i would like the idea to have some mindless fun with a friend. I would use AOB and some direct memory editing, but i would want to automate everything with AOB and scripting.


Is it safe to use? I have read and heard quite mixed responses on the internet from various people, and i would like to figure it out.

You'll always get mixed answers with this kind of thing, it's like asking if parachuting is "safe"; depends heavily on how you define "safe". If "safe" in this case is "guaranteed not to get banned" then no CE on any game isn't safe; if "safe" just means you won't go splat if you know what you're doing, then sure CE is "safe".

Disclaimer: I loved jump school, so I think parachuting is "safe" and a lot of fun.
