Cheat Engine

It would be nice to have some way to control CheatEngine from another device, like a phone app or web app.

Why? With things like Steam In-Home Streaming, I've found that I can now play my graphically-intensive games that would normally need to be played on my desktop on my laptop or even my tablet/phone! However, if I want to use CheatEngine, I still need to be on my desktop, or at least need to go to my desktop to enable the cheats, and go back and forth if I'm playing something that requires a lot of toggling, searching, etc.

What I'm picturing is a mobile/web app on another computer or device that is on the same local network as my power house computer. Have some form of server program that runs on my powerful computer that the mobile/web app can detect. Then I can click a button that launches CheatEngine on the host computer and turns the mobile/web app into the same user interface screen that I would be seeing on CheatEngine on the host computer. I can select processes, load/save cheat files, toggle cheats, search for values, and more.

This way I could be playing a game on my laptop with my phone beside me with the ability to adjust my cheats!

Think about it -- and thanks for the work you've already done on CE!

Yeah, even a less elaborate solution would be awesome!

. at least you can enable and disable cheats on your mobile for now Rolling Eyes

. when i resume development on it though (probably next year/next CE version), the most i will add will at most be attaching processes, searching for values and adding them as cheat entries for editing. porting all features in CE to a mobile app seems like a massive endeavour, good luck to whoever the torch bearer is.

also having the same mobile user interface as the desktop CE doesn't seem ideal. reason being you interact with a mobile device differently than keyboard+mouse.
