How can the 'jb' instruction write to memory?

AFAIK, 'jb' is a jump instruction, it just makes the cpu start executing somewhere else in memory. It doesn't change any memory (except the program counter). Why is CE saying 'jb' writes to 0FD85518 here?

It doesn't- that's just a bug. You're looking for the repe movsd instruction below it.
