				| Hi, I'm in the process of learning the more advanced side of cheat engine, (pointer scans, code injection, etc...) and I seem to be running into a problem. I don't know how to describe it. For example lets say I have 2 pointers: Pointerscan Result | P->0EA5C88C | 4 Bytes | 1131
 Pointerscan Result | P->0EA5C88C | 4 Bytes | 1131

 5 seconds later:
 Pointerscan Result | P->00000000 | 4 Bytes | ??
 Pointerscan Result | P->0EA5C88C | 4 Bytes | 1131

 5 seconds later:
 Pointerscan Result | P->0EA5C88C | 4 Bytes | 1131
 Pointerscan Result | P->00000000 | 4 Bytes | ??

 5 seconds later:
 Pointerscan Result | P->00000000 | 4 Bytes | ??
 Pointerscan Result | P->00000000 | 4 Bytes | ??

 or any combination of these at relatively set intervals.

 What i am doing in game does not affect the speed or chance of the dice rolling, it's just a random chance at a set interval. I have rescanned multiple times and I get the same sort of results. I get the feeling that I'm also losing some pointers in my scans, not because they are wrong, but because they have randomly decided to not point where they are supposed to when I start the scan. Anyone seen this before? any solutions? Thanks.

				| Does this happen when you load new level or do something ingame? if yes then its normal otherwise your pointers are no good and you need to find a better one. _________________

				| No. That's what's weird about it. I can stand still and leave the game doing nothing and these pointers will still change change at those semi-regular intervals. No reloads, no moving, no changing of any kind. These changes occur on any map, in any menu, or any event(in combat, in overworld, in cutscene, etc.) | |

 Then you have not found the Base* pointer.

 Have you tried checking what addresses write/access these points?

				| How many rescans you've done? How many pointers left?

 I think those pointers are prone to change while game's running and are pretty stable when the game is minimized or alttab-ed.

 So, when you do pointerlist rescan, check "repeat rescan until stopped", click OK, play the game a little longer, go back to CE and stop rescanning.
