Cheat Engine

I was never into hacking or modding online games, I use cheat engine only for PCSX2, ePSXe, demul, mame to swap characters and stuff in old games, so I never got problems in online games.

But now this EasyAntiCheat seems to be detecting that I have Cheat Engine installed on my pc, and it won't launch any game that uses this feature (Line of Sight, Robocraft...) unless I completely uninstall Cheat Engine..

I'm quite infuriated, how can they threaten my account to ban simply because I have a memory editor installed on my pc, the process is not even up, I haven't being using cheat engine for a few weeks! This is just so wrong, how do you guys deal with it? If it's to choose my good and old cheat engine and these new online mmo craps, they're the ones who're going to get uninstalled!

When anti-cheats overstep their bounds it usually ends up as a bad thing on their end. If they are detecting things installed on your system and preventing you from playing simply because the file is there, game publishers will start to stop using that anti-cheat because they will begin to see a fall in sales. People don't tolerate intrusive things like that and it does nothing but hurt the companies.

Just wait it out a bit and it will probably end up being reverted from the anti-cheat and things will go back to normal once enough backlash is given.

1) Disabling DBVM and unloading/unregistering it may help. (may require a reboot)
2) Use a packer or obfuscator on CE
3) Or you could re-compile CE and remove stuff that says CE or other obvious signatures (I hope Dark Byte won't mind )
