How do I cheat?

I understand the basics of the basics when using a .CT but what am I supposed to do when I go to download one and rather than giving me a file it redirects me to a wall of script? I tried just copy pasta it into a text file and saving it as a .CT and I get an error when I use it. Maybe I am just to daft and it is staring me in the face?

If the script looks something like this...
Code:
[ENABLE]
// stuff here

[DISABLE]
// other stuff

...then open up an AA script window (Memory View -> Tools -> Auto Assemble) and copy/paste it into there. Click on File -> Assign to current cheat table. Close the AA script window and you should see it in the address list.
