You don't have to realize it now. the revolution is already happening and it's not going to be stopped. It's been gaining serious momentum since Occupy Wall Street. I've been involved and watching it happen. If you don't care or do anything, that doesn't deny the existence of the movement(Social Libertarianism), you're just waiting around until it pulls you with it.

To make a huge prediction, The U.S. dollar is going to fail and the Global economy is going to change dramatically and adopt digital currencies as the only apparent and readily available alternative. You can mock and deny that as what will happen, but the U.S. economy is no longer able to sustain itself for as long as it has, and when it fails, all the oligarchs will no longer have control over the currency system and we will have a government system BASED on the best currency, not a currency reliant on government which has caused our debt enslavement.

Entirely speculative and hopeful that things will be the way you want it. Things are going to remain mostly the same until automation replaces enough jobs that people are out in the streets demanding change, but until then, I'd get used to the status quo.

Like I said, you can mock or deny it, but the reality is that inflation is now an impending force for the failure of the currency. It may be next year, it could be 50 years. The point is that it's unsustainable and it can't be fixed with printing money, just like the national debt. At some point there is going to be a huge economic crash and the dollar will be worthless.
