So I have this:

DashMeter::IncreaseDashValue+3 - D9 44 24 08 - fld dword ptr [esp+08]

DashMeter::IncreaseDashValue+7 - D8 46 20 - fadd dword ptr [esi+20]

DashMeter::IncreaseDashValue+A - D9 5E 20 - fstp dword ptr [esi+20]

So what I want to do is find out where the fld comes from so instead off making a script for the fstp where it sets the value to 1 only after I collect a item for it to change. Instead I want to know where the fld comes from and make a script for that address so the value 1 will be constant and I wont have to do anything to get the value to change. How do I find out where it came from????

if you want your program to push 1 in the float stack register then you can try to replace

DashMeter::IncreaseDashValue+3 - D9 44 24 08 - fld dword ptr [esp+08]

by this
DashMeter::IncreaseDashValue+3 - D9 44 24 08 - fld 1

In any case fld comes from the opcode which was previously computed, you can use the dissect code option of cheat engine, if you're lucky it wil ltell you which opcode sent u this road.

Or if you meant which value does fld load, it loads the value held by esp+08, this value was pushed onto the stack previously, wether you change the fld code like I said or wether do a hook that changes the value held by esp+08, it's the same in the end.
