Let's consider a SINGLEPLAYER OFFLINE game where ingame currency can be used to purchase DLCs. Ingame currency can be earned by playing some way or another, but you can also directly purchase the DLCs with real-life money. The game is offline, earning game currency can be done offline, but the ofc you need to go online to contact the DLC store.
Question: are we allowed to post hacks to increase this kind of ingame currency here?
Two games that implement this system are dead space 3 with their "ration seals" and the upcoming street fighter 5 with "fight money". _________________

Someone doing this could open themselves up to legal action based on the claim that they may be taking away from potential profits from real-dollar transactions.
That said, probably not allowed. |

I don't release anything that gives you something you can get only by paying for it, but I'll hack a mechanic that's free, like how much xp you get per kill. I feel like I could defend myself in a court for that.
People will still do this and upload it regardless of whether or not it's allowed. It's too much work to check every trainer/table and see if it's in violation of this rule. _________________

My opinion would be to look at it like this:
Can the content be purchased with real money as well as the in-game currency? If so I would avoid talking about it.
Can the content only be purchased with in-game currency? Then it should be fine.
Ultimately the choice is up to Dark Byte though. _________________

Alright, thanks guys for your takes on the subject. I had hoped for an official, definitive statement, but in lack thereof I guess I'll just be safe rather than sorry. _________________
