You should sue the hospital that held you against your will for violation of religious freedom, provided the reason they gave for your hospitalization was your views on feeling as if you were God

or to rephrase what you just said:
"for holding you under grounds that you can be diagnosed by the DSM-IV and that you are clearly delusory and in potential danger to yourself or others"
btw i already linked the act where what they've done is legal. lol.
here you can go to a cop and say you are suicidal and they will take you to a facility "against your will" or "involuntarily" and commit you for as long as the psychiatrist allows.
and the laws allow for 24/7 availability to call and report abuse, with numbers provided.

It is extremely difficult to prove how you're at risk to others. Even so, it does not matter what local law says. Habeas Corpus is the law of the land. No person may be held against his will without being brought to a judge first. If he has committed no crime, he is free to leave. A schizophrenic man made history when he did this in a hospital years ago, and the press even covered it briefly. It's possible to be psychotic and not at risk to self/others. I did this last Thursday when I was hospitalized myself, and became the first person to leave the hospital minutes after being Formed by asking for a lawyer.
