i'm amazed this place is still around. really makes me wonder what gravitates you guys to each other, given the amount of animosity that dwells here. thought id owe you guys a visit after not being around for a couple years. looks like this place literally hasn't changed since i left, which is good. i probably wont be posting outside of this thread however, so don't take this as my full return or anything. anyways, whats up dudes?

i still play casually, but ive been waning off of it a bit. been trying to get more into dota & other games, but its really hard when all of your friends still play league  at least the preseason looks promising so far.

fuck man ive tried hots, but its mind numbingly simplistic. i havent really given it much of a fair chance since i only played 1 game, so i could see myself maybe getting into it if i knew enough people who played & could get 5s going, but if im going to try and get into a new moba, id rather feel like im being rewarded by getting good at it on an individual level to a reasonable extent.
it actually embodies what league is becoming at this rate, which is the very reason ive been shying away from it.

it's a bit simpler because it's not a farm fest last hitting grind, you team fight, go for ovjective, win it. win game, 20 min matches. 30 if your team is slow and likes to kill them over and over and not push.. and ya I get in groups errday

last hitting is just one way of leveraging your way to victory by out farming your lane opponent. it gives you one way of crippling your opponent by harassing & denying them farm, allowing yourself to pull ahead and spread that advantage to the rest of the map by roaming and taking objectives through sheer gold difference, while your opponent is forced to stay back and catch up in farm so he can make an impact.
so even if i have a really weak link on my team, i can at least have the option to play really well and make up for it, rather than be doomed to lose because i completely lost an integral part of my win condition before the game even really started.
