no, the police did that. they thought he was not of sound mind and needed help, and thought he was a potential threat to himself and others. they made the decision. i just made the call to inform them because /herp derp there was an actual possibility of harm based on what he said/, and just because you want to assume the worst of me, and the best of him, doesn't make your argument valid nor does it invalidate that i was sincere in thought of his and others' well-being, and wanted him to get treatment for his blatant psychosis.

look at it this way:
do nothing: risk of harm, or nothing could happen
call: ensure no harm and ensure treatment and that nothing happens.
life not ruined. i decided it would be best if one reduced potential harm to him and others. i would want the same done to me. |

You are not in a position to determine if anyone is on the verge of a psychotic break or not. By getting authorities involved, you escalated his position to that of a potential TERRORIST. He was shit posting for attention. You saw an opportunity to "get him in check," and now the authorities have enough evidence to probably make him a convict if they take this seriously. He's not a fucking threat to anyone here and I don't remember ANYONE BUT YOU saying that he is. He lived with his dad, and if he honestly thought he needed psychiatric help he would have gotten it for him. You're of no help to ANYONE here.

You're acting like the specific comments you have made in the past are any better than what he has done. The difference between what he has said and done and what you have said and done are VAST and GREAT. You're the one here who has negatively impacted another person's life here on CEF. You don't understand, you choose not to understand and continue to believe you made the right choices, or you understand perfectly well that what you chose to do is malicious in nature and choose to hide under this guise that you're trying to get him help.
You didn't have to contact authorities. You could have contacted him directly about it and had a serious discussion. You sprang all this up on him without him and his father's consent and as if he was a threat. You took the situation into your hands instead of the ones closest to him. You're literally scum trying to hide as a moral crusader and a friend.

i tried reasoning with him. he was unreasonable. the police tried reasoning with him too. whatever you say or think, kyle. i know the truth, Allah (SWT) knows the truth, and people closest to me know the truth. many agree with my decision/judgment, even if not in its entirety. |
