Cheat Engine

Hi im new here and new to CE hacking. Ive recently been trying to hack Darksiders for souls. But I run into a problem. I find the address of the
correct number of souls(If I have 20 souls I do a scan then I go into Darksiders and get more souls changing the value and I go back to CE
run a next scan to shorten the list and I find the right address which is
usually one as its been so far then change the value) I bring it down and change the value and it works when im playing but when I save my game
I dont have those souls when I come back.Like it gives me 10000000 souls for the time im in the game but when I save it and close the game an come back theres nothing there it just resets back to the value before I started like I never saved at all.
Ive tried saving it in my CE list
and then coming back to use it but its not the right address or it doesnt
save the address im using. What am I doing wrong? Does the value and address change everytime I quit CE and the game even tho Ive saved it??

You can do it.It is enough have Continuous practice.
My words:
(You can find again soul value then right click on soul address and click on (pointer scan this address).click on OK then cheat engine search for pointer address.when find pointers address,load game and find soul value and copy the soul address and put in (Rescan memory-Removes pointers,...).do work it from The first Up to find 1or some address.then test all this pointers address.)
but search for pointer address in google,...

So if im understanding you find the soul address and value again.
Then right click on the address and click pointer scan this address.
click ok and let it scan for pointer address. When it finds the pointer address
then I get lost lol. I have to be ingame so I can find the address so I can get more souls to determine which one it is..(Rescan) Should I do that then copy the address down then do what your suggesting??
